Haywood told me on our Honeymoon that he'd taken a job at Coke in Orlando. Told him we had to work on communication!!!! We lived in Winter Park, FL in a house built in the 50s in the middle of an orange grove... Never, ever do that ...NEVER. Worked for Stromberg-Carlson as a word processor and wrote Engineering utility programs using the WANG platform.
We moved back to the area in 1986.

Spent 1986-1994 supporting our daughter in softball & cheerleading. Became involved in a convention called Dragon Con. I was the first Star Wars Program Director and held that position from 1993 - 2008. Took a few years off and now I'm in Registration Volunteer Support as a COG. All together I will have been with Dragon Con 26 years in 2022.

Haywood and I have done some traveling and met some wonderful people! Loved Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. I lived in Germany for 3 months in 1968 & can't wait to go back...

I am currently BHS AA Secretary/Membership.

I'm also very active in Russell County Senior Citizen Center (Vice President Yr 2023) doing ceramics, making t-shirts & quilting. I do specialized signs, jewelry, kitchen decor, specialized scrapbooking pages, just to name a few.

I love to garden, but haven't been able to the last two years (sigh) - maybe this year.

I always had fun in school and have great memories. I was always into something. I remember one time I was called to the office and I threw my hands up and said, "I swear I didn't do it." Turned out my Mom was there to pick me up for a dental appt that I forgot about.

Enjoyed being a part of many clubs and activities, especially the Dandylions Drill Team. Working on plays, in the office and being a member of several clubs.

I have great memories of being a Dandylion, in the Drama Club, doing plays and working in the office. Most embarrassing moment was in Chemistry when I blew up a flask. Favorite teacher was Ms. McDuffie.

I would change one thing

Go on an archeologist dig with my sister, Lochie.

Love doing arts and crafts for our business. Traveling and meeting new people.

I also do ceramics and have started quilting.

Always be kind.
