In Memory

Charles M. Shepherd

Information submitted by Alice Frank Williamson, Class of '65:

63-64 Mr. Charlie M. Shepherd was the Dean of Boys and his wife, can't remember her first name, taught English (I think). I don't know what happened to her but I know he died several years after our '65 graduation.

Mr. Shepherd saved my school lives at Baker. He was a very fair man and I hope he is enjoying his time in heaven.

Like Larry Lawson Mr. Shepherd saved my school life at Baker. Without him and his understanding I would never have graduated. He would always listen and talk in a way that made you want to keep working and trying. I have thanked God many times through the years for Mr. Shepard. Seems like I remember seeing Larry Lawson coming out of Mr. Shepard's office or waiting to go in when I was there to learn more of Mr. Shepherd's understanding ways.
