LeRoy Powell's sister Marcia Leonora Powell , class of 1959, passed along this information about her brother:

My beloved brother, LeRoy (BHS 1961), who was an Emmy-award-winning television commentator and cameraman, died in 1999 of complications from multiple myeloma. I enjoy annual visits with his wife, Val (Johnson), and my nephew, John, in Conyers, GA, and my niece, Carrie, her husband, Chris Borgerding, a Delta pilot, and their two boys and one girl in Suwanee, GA.
