Roger Campbell - Class Of 1967

Roger Colin Campbell passed away on Sunday, March 10th,2019 at St. Francis Hospital. Roger was born in Salem, Massachusetts, on June 11,1948, to Colin Joseph Campbell and Jean Lorraine Campbell. Roger earned his Bachelor's Degree from Columbus College and entered the U.S.Army in 1972, serving until 1978. In 1981, he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy and served both on active duty and in the reserves. In 1994, he retired from the U.S. Navy and has since worked as a teacher and a writer, having published 34 books, mostly on military history. 
Roger is survived by his wife, Jean Catherine Campbell; two sons, Colin and Jason, and a daughter, Jenny Rovira; his brother, Mike (Lorrie); step-sons, Daniel Padron and Anthony Padron. 
The family and friends will gather at McMullen’s Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Boulevard, in Columbus, Georgia at 6:00pm on Wednesday, March 13, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm. The funeral will be celebrated by Father Ronnie Madden and Father Daniel O’Connell at Holy Family Catholic Church, 320 12th Street, Columbus,Georgia on March 14 at 11:00am. Internment will occur at a later date. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Michael Metry MD and to the entire staff at St.Francis MSICU.
