He was a 1973 graduate of Baker High School followed by Columbus College and Columbus Beauty School. He began his career at Gayfer’s Department Store as a hairstylist and instructor until he opened his own business, Jamison Britt Salon in 1999.

Tommy was proceeded in death by his parents; Sid and Geri Anderson, his brother; John Anderson, his sister; Kathy Anderson Goodman, and his beloved son-in-law; Heath Allen Davis.

He leaves his love and special memories to the love of his life for 47 years; Terri K. Anderson, a son; Jamey Jon Anderson, a daughter; Brittany Anderson Davis, his grandchildren; Jadyn Davis, Xavier Lindo, Saxon Anderson, Maddox Anderson, Alexander (Lex) Anderson, and his nephew Scott Zylstra.

Tommy loved every minute of life and lived it to the fullest. His passions were many – first and foremost his family! He loved fishing (member of Dolphin Bass Club), hunting (member of Barney’s Hunt Club), golfing with buds and playing games and cards with friends and family.

Tommy was a people person! To know Tommy was to love Tommy! His heart was BIG and full of generosity and he was always looking on the bright side of everything.

In memory of Tommy, a visitation will be held for friends and family at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary located at 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907 on Wednesday, September 27 from 5PM to 7PM.

In honor of Tommy – if you see someone that needs a dollar or two or even just a smile – please share yours – he always did!

Sincere condolences!  Tommy was a super nice guy, neighbor and classmate.  Pat Bryan and I lived in their swimming pool!  Rest in peace my sweet friend!
