ELARBEE, Lyda Maria Aybar 

of Tampa, FL, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 6, 2017, after a long illness. She was born February 6, 1943, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the first child of Victor Aybar Catala and Nelsie Ortiz Aybar. She is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Elarbee; her mother, Nelsie Ortiz Aybar; two sisters, Milagros "Millie" Callicutt (Gary) of Bartlett, TN and Nelsie "Cuchi" Aybar Grau (Anezka) of Kingston, NY; a brother, Victor "Vitin" Aybar of Somerville, TN; three children, Wendy Wrenn Sacco (Greg), of Centreville, VA, Anthony "Tony" Wrenn (Judy) of Chicago, IL, and Carolyn Wrenn Suarez of Falls Church, VA. She also shared the joy of two stepchildren, Staci and Michael Elarbee of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Kirsten Sacco Cotton (Philip), T.J. Wrenn and fiance;e, Inna, Hailey Wrenn, Lyda and Anthony Suarez; one step grandchild, Lexi; and one great-grandson, Jace. She leaves behind a host of other loving relatives and friends. An avid gardener and culinary queen, she lived life to the fullest and encouraged everyone she knew to savor the moment. In her younger years, she enjoyed a career in modeling and always had a flair for fashion. She was well known everywhere for her flamboyant use of beautiful hats. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. When Lyda met her husband, Vernon, it was the joining of two pieces to become a whole. They will be eternally joined.
