David Roberson - Class Of 1961 VIEW PROFILE

 

 

David “Red” Roberson, 79 of Warm Springs passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home. Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Warm Springs with Dr. Bob Patterson officiating. Mr. Roberson was born September 20, 1941 in Blakely, GA, the son of Roy and Vivian Wolf Roberson. He worked as a tool and die maker for Goody Products in Manchester retiring in 2006 after 36 years. He had served on the city council and as mayor for the City of Warm Springs. Mr. Roberson was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and for the Warm Springs Fire Department. He also worked 35 years as a referee for the West Georgia Officials Association. As a member of First Baptist Church of Warm Springs, he served in many capacities including Deacon, Greeter and on the Building and Grounds Committee as well as any other way he could help his church. Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Blakey Roberson of Warm Springs; his daughter, Susan Mathis and her husband, Mark of Lemoyne, PA; his son, David Roberson and his wife, Linda of Bowden, GA; his sister, Judy Medlock of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Lauren Gutowski (Jon), Cameron Geter (Kristen), Kaitlyn Phillips (Jeffery), John Roberson, Tiffany Roberson, Leslie Hatcher (Adam), Stuart Mathis, Tim Ward and six great grandchildren. Cox Funeral Home, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
