Dana and I walked home from school together every day in the first grade, and we were friends from then on. I have photos of Dana at almost every birthday party from first grade through high school.

I loved Dana and her warm and friendly family. Her mom always made me feel like part of the Alderman family. When we were in our teens, Dana's older sister Debbie invited us to spend the weekend with her at Auburn, and that weekend is a very fond memory.

Dana and I were in touch by phone a few years before she died, and I'll always regret that we didn't get together in person during those years.

She was a wonderful friend -- loyal, smart, funny and talented. It was very sad to lose her.

I remember Dana as a good friend. I was saddened to hear of her passing. She was always friendly and had such a great smile. Could you please tell me what happened? JoAnn Kinard

One of my fondest memories is from grade school at Key Elementary. Dana, Bonnie Blanton & Cynthis Bunn sang in a trio the song "All Through The Night" I will never forget how beautiful their voices blended, it was a heavenly sound. The words still echo in my mind: "Sleep my child and peace be with you all through the night, Gardian angels watch over you all through the night..."
Dana, a good friend throughout life, she is missed very much and thought of often.

I was sad to hear of her passing. Dana and my neighbor Bonnie and my sister Charlene were all buddies from the beginning. I threw their paper on Rice St. and thought she was too cute for words and I was too shy to say them.
I recall one Christmas morning when I had on my new Paisley shirt and cords and riding my bike past her house when she was there and said "nice shirt Douglas". Made me red in the face and smiling inside.
