Old "Cong Killer" I'll miss the hell out of you. You were a good friend.

I knew something was wrong when you didn't reply to my fussing email. I have missed your hilarious stories and entertaining tales.
What to say that will express how sad I am that your warm smile and laughing eyes are no longer with us...I know you cherished your memories of our days at Baker--I know you visited the past effortlessly and enjoyed sharing it with me. And you always called me "girl" and said "hoo-ah"--funny little memories.
I know you loved your dogs and cried when Katy died. You loved the hills of Texas--actually you loved everything about Texas.
...and you loved beer! Ah, Charlie--you are already missed.

Charlie........you were an amazing and creative friend. You, among a few others, were among my "idols" as I grew up in the BAKER HS COMMUNITY.....I will miss your crazy but "sensitive" e-mails.
Rest peacefully ol' chum.......
I'll see ya when I see ya............

In my opinion, truly one of the greats among our class of 1970 and beyond. Such a considerable surprise to me that he passed so early, but knowing that his life was rich and full of worthy sacifices, significant successes, and honorable service to our great country, I know that many benefitted much as a result of having him provide them with friendship, compassion and superior leadership. We were very lucky to have had him among us and in our ranks! I'm certain that God's spirit remains with him. Peace be with his family.
Sncerely,
Michael L. Taylor
