Without a doubt, one of the sweetest girls to ever attend Baker, with a smile I'll never forget.  Some students you passed in the hallways a million times only to forget who they were; while others you passed a few times and remembered them forever.  Laurie was one of the latter.

Laurie and I were very good friends in high school. I can remember some of my girl friends and I taking turns having slumber parties at each other's homes. One of these slumber parties we had at Laurie's house in Oakland Park and we were all "giddy" about getting our ears pierced. Yes, we talked ourselves into doing it ourselves at this slumber party. Get the ice cubes out! Place behind the ear! Alcohol or flame the needle and dagger it into the ear lobe! Giggles galore! Not everyone participated but many did! Yes, Laurie and I did! :> She was a dear, fun person!  Terry

I didn't know Laurie very well, but I do know that she was quick with a smile and a beautiful lady.  God needed her more in Heaven I suppose.  I pray for her family and friends....I know they must miss her terribly.  ♥

I just learned of Laurie's passing from her youngest sister Andrea.. My heart broke knowing that such a beautiful friend was taken from her loving family and friends way to soon. I have so many fond memories of our childhood friendship and growing pains of blossoming into young ladies. Laurie's friendship will live in my heart forever. Our last get together was a trip to Waco where she and her son , Ryan and my son Ryan spent a nice outing getting to know each other as mothers. I am sad that I lost touch and let all the years pass by. A lesson to us all , reach out often to the ones that made a difference in your life. Laurie you did, you taught me the true meaning of friendship. Bless you my dear friend..
