Lowell Kenneth Hight

Mr. Ken Hight, age 65 of Anna, died at 10:55 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was born on August 30, 1948 in Cairo, IL the son of Robert H. and Elsie (White) Hight. He married Karen Boyd on August 12, 1973 in Anna, IL.

        Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army. 
He was a deacon and member of the Anna First Baptist Church and Ken was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.      

        Ken is survived by his wife, Karen of Anna; one son, Ken (Lacey) Hight of Canton, Georgia; two daughters, Kimberly (Todd) Hawk of Herrin and Kendra (Rodney) Seip of Anna; his mother, Elsie Hight of Columbus, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ashton, and Jacob Hawk, Kaetlyn and Keira Hight and Dalton and Payton Seip; two brothers, Michael (Judy) Hight and Robert (Carolyn) Hight, both of Columbus, Georgia; mother-in-law, Virginia Boyd; sister-in-law, Beverly Boyd; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father and father-in-law, Ernest Boyd.

        Funeral services for Mr. Ken Hight will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Anna with Rev. Les Sinks and Pastor Todd Hawk officiating.  Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery with military funeral rites conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post#3455 of the VFW of Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna on Thursday from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute- 9500 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44195 or envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and at the church.

Graduated with Ken... nice guy, always friendly and talked when you met him.  Never talked bad about anyone.  Prayers to the Hight family during this difficult time

I knew Kenny from 4th grade at Faith School, Ft Benning and Baker High School. Her was always such a nice guy and everyone liked him. I'm so sorry to learn this. Prayers for his family.

Roy Cook (1968)

What a great guy.  I remember Ken was a sharp dresser and always had  a encouraging word, even if you were an underclassman. He will be missed.
