I had very few classes with Pam, though I saw her frequently in ROTC. She always treated those around her nicely, was very polite and well liked. Our prayers for strength for her family, they have lost one of the good ones.
This is her little sister, Eloise Jones, Pam started smoking when she was in her very early teens and by the time she reach her 50/60's her lungs were terrible. The last years of her life she lived with an oxygen tube in order to breathe. Her lungs were pretty much "smoked out" and while she was on her oxygen she would sneak out to her garage and smoke (couldn't smoke around the oxygen). Mom told me she was glad I never smoked as she wished Pam had stopped many years ago. It was very sad but a lesson to all that do smoke of what the addiction can do to someone and so sad how she suffered to breathe - something we take for granted. She passed 1 day before my birthday.
