Ronny D. Smith, 69, of Columbus, GA. moved to Heaven on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Bud Rupel officiating. Burial will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ronny was born on February 11, 1952 in Troy, AL. to Nell Smith Whitehead of Columbus, GA. and the late Cecil Randolph Smith, Sr. Ronny enjoyed camping with his wife and friends, and eating lunch everyday at 11:30 AM sharp with the ROMEO GROUP (Retired old men eating out). He loved to play card games with his 5 grandkids. He attended Evangel Temple Church and was a dedicated member of the Legacy Life Group Class. He retired from Georgia Power after 35 years of service. For the past 14 years, he has been working as a real-estate agent with Century 21. He was a loving husband, a dedicated daddy, a devoted grandfather, caring son and a thoughtful brother.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Jackie Smith of Columbus, his mother, Nell Smith Whitehead, two daughters, Courtney Smith Koon (John) of Midland, GA. and Sherri Smith Outlaw of Columbus, GA. siblings, Ricky Smith (Fay) of Manchester, GA. Randy Smith of Cataula, GA. Rita Jones (Kenny) of Smiths, AL. and Roger Smith of Cataula, GA. grandchildren, John Bryce Koon, MacKenzie Leighanne Koon, Gabrielle Renee Outlaw, Gavin Alexander Outlaw and Grayson Allen Smith Outlaw.
