As Summer comes around the corner soon, please gently remind your children with small children about car safety & using sunscreen.  Having been through the experience of a 5-month-old accidently locked in a car in July in Orlando, I can tell you, your heart and stomach goes to your toes.  Had the keyring on my little finger, put Brandy into her car seat, and just as I closed the door, they slipped off onto the floorboard of the backseat. For a split second I was just blank and then I remembered hollering.  The manager of the grocery store, who was also in our Sunday School class, just happen to be in the parking lot with another employee.  He sent the employee into the store to call 911.  He went to his car and grabbed a hammer to break the little side window so he could reach in and unlock the door.  That didn’t work-his arm was too big and mine wasn’t long enough. Finally, the fire dept got there and was able to use the shimmy to unlock the door.  The EMT check my bundle of sleeping joy and she was okay. 

Sunscreen is so, so important. especially if your little ones play sports, etc.
