In your last post, you made a statement as follows..

the policy was made by the President.  It is in the bylaws ...  

I believe you also said you didn't agree with "the Policy".

Could you please tell us what the paticular policy is that was added to the By-Laws.

Rodney, our By-Laws have not been amended since they were written on February 21, 2015 and are posted on this website.
What does it take to put this misinformation that persists on Facebook and now in this Forum to bed? 
Cathy can speak to whatever policy she disagrees with, but please, let it be known to all alumni and anyone else who may be interested that the Baker High School Alumni Association, Inc. By-Laws have not been altered, changed, revised, or amended, ever.

Your wording made it appear to many people that something was put in the by-laws. It wasn't clear to me and others that your meaning was that it's in the By-Laws that the President can institute new policies and not that the Policy in question was added to the By-Laws.

I got it and hope you got it. There has  been consistant misinformation, especially on a Facebook Group that our bylaws have been amended. I was just informing you and others that our bylaws have not been amended. 

This is an open forum, and if you want to ask Cathy or anyone else a question or make a comment and not expect others to comment on it then I suggest you contact them directly, and not on a public forum.

I will repeat, I was addressing Cathy, that's why I started my post addressing her by name. The majority of the people who frequent this Forum understand that is how some posts are made. From one individual to another.  Even though its a "Public" forum, people can realize when it's just a two person conversation. 

Jim you have made a grand total of 5 posts on this Forum in its almost 2 decade exsistance...I have made 3043 posts on this forum.  I don't need your help in understanding how this Forum is run. I am the Administrator for this Forum.

You asked Cathy a question about the BHSAA bylaws having been amended on an open forum. Had you just desired a private clarification from her you could have texted or emailed her privately for a response. Since you chose to ask the question on an open forum, it was open for discussion. That is one of the purposes of an open forum. Since I am very familiar with the BHSAA bylaws and there had been misinformation posted on the BHSA group Facebook page, I chose to take that oportunity to clarify that our bylaws had not been amended by commenting to your question on this open forum. Now that it has been confirmed that the BHSAA bylaws have not been amended since they were written in February, 2015, then the discussion should end. 

We have nothing else to discuss regarding the state of the BHSAA bylaws. Should you and Cathy chose to discuss whether Catrhy approves or disapproves of the authority given to the president of the BHSAA on this open forum, go ahead, as I will not comment on what either of you like or dislike about our bylaws.

Jim, this is indeed an open forum, and is indeed used for the exchange of ideas from all alumni. Outwardly, you seem to support, and honor the traditions of our Baker site, and seem to be well versed in the common exchange, and banter, and also appear to have great respect for it's purpose. Can you explain why a post was removed from this site by Dave Spaw. The post was neither inflamatory, incorrect, or offensive. I proposed an idea that would support a Bill of Rights for all Baker alumni. It was refered to as Nonsense , and as it was being removed, Spaw suggested it would be better posted on facebook. You, as President knew he did this, and allowed  it to happen. So, don't be so condescending as to quote regulations to Rodney.

I was not being condescending to Rodney Wolfinger or anyone else. I have no idea what "regulations" you claim I was quoting.

As to David Spaw removing your post, you should take that up with David Spaw, who is the Communications Chair and has the ultimate administration rights on the BHSAA website. I didn't fully read or digest your post before it was removed. My experience working with David Spaw as Vice President and Communications Chair is that he is a very fair person and if he felt your post didn't meet the Forum's guidelines I will support his decision without knowing more about it.

I see no reason to discuss this matter further with me on this forum, and as I suggested, take the removal of your post up with David Spaw either privately or here if you so desire.

My wife is not attending the Christmas party with me due to other obligations. Can anyone tell ma if I can bring David Phillips as my guest? Don't know if he would have any photo equipment. Probably just his phone. I'm not involved with any of the Lawyer stuff, so I'm not sure whats going on with any of that. It's Christmas, and I'd like for everyone to be in that spirit. I know he said he had the option of getting a lawyer, but I've said the same, or similar, and I haven't been barred. I would even by a round for David, Myself, Jim, and David Spaw. War No More.

I hope someone will let me know. This useless nonsense has run it's course. I've never been a fan of banishment. it's embarrasing. Since David Phillips is an alumni under banishment, I don't know if he needs to register, if I have permission to have him as my guest.

So there won't be any misunderstandings, Henry Holmes or any other BHSAA member may bring any guest to the 2nd Annual BHSAA Christmas Party. All BHSAA members must pay the guest fee of $35.00 for each non BHSAA member they bring to our Christmas Party.

The guest Henry Holmes wishes to bring requested in an email to David Spaw, BHSAA Vice President and Communication Committee Chair (responsible for maintaining our website), that neither his name nor any of his pictures or videos be placed on the BHSAA website. He threatened legal action if his request was not fulfilled. Hopefully, his name appearing in posts above will not cause any legal action on his part.

No BHSAA member or guest may post videos or photos on public sites like YouTube without identifying the video or photos as taken at the official name of the event, in this case; "The 2nd Annual Baker High School Alumni Association Christmas Party". Any alumni member or guest may post photos and videos on social media without expressly naming the event.

Everyone, while present at any BHSAA event must be respectful and courteous toward all other BHSAA alumni, present or absent, and to all venue waitstaff and other employees. In keeping with the season, if the basic rules stated above are followed, peace and harmony shall prevail at the BHSAA Christmas Party and future BHSAA events. 

It will soon be "turkey day" Baker Lions and I didn't want to forget to post this picture to the forum--so it is a couple of days early.  Blessings to all Baker Lions, their Lion Cubs and Lion families.
