Just wanted to let everyone know what is going on with the flag pole. I spoke with my buddy Henry Holmes a couple of weeks ago and he is getting some estimates for me on what it will cost to get the flag pole put in place. As soon as Henry gets back with me we will get together and put together a plan on when, ( we know where ) and how we are going to get 'er done!!! I just want to thank Henry for doing this for me. Between the Baker Memorabilia Sale and working on Wayne Anthony's campaign I are tired. Just need a few more days of R & R and I'll be better. While I'm talking about the sale, I just want to thank everyone who came out and helped with the sale and everybody who helped with the search or both. The sale was a huge success so a great big thanks to all who came out and spent their hard earned cash as well. We don't have a final accounting on it as of yet because we are still selling off some of the  "leftovers". We will probably clear around $3100 to $3200. This money will go into the Alumni Association scholarship fund. Pam I want to see a picture of what you did with you know what. ( That ought to leave 'em wonderin' )!!! I finaly got to meet some of the people who frequent the forum such as Sista Madeleine and a few others. All in all it was a great day. Harry, several months ago you asked me if I had encountered any ghosts on any of my frequent trips into Baker and I told you no. About 2 weeks before the sale I made the stupid mistake of going into Baker by myself. Someone was supposed to meet me there and called to cancel at the last minute while I was sitting at the school waiting for theml. So I figured, What the heck!! I mean I was there right and security had already opened the place up. So I go into the senior wing and look around a little bit and then go into the main part of the building. I entered from the breezeway between the Senior and Junior wing. I walked up the hallway and turned left and headed up the main hallway using my flashlight as needed. I go to the end of the main hallway and went into the rear of the auditorium and was standing there where the second level of seating used to be. All of the sudden I got this really cold feeling and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. And then I thought I heard someone call my name. I looked around and didn't see anything but I had this feeling that I was not alone. So using my best judgement I decided to vacate the premises!!!! I'm planning on one last trip into the school but will not go in alone. Well let me go. I am taking my wife out to lunch today for her birthday and I need to shower and shave and all that other stuff you are 'sposed to do to look presentable. Hope everyone has a great day!!
