It is with sadness that the family of Barry Timmons Duke announces his passing. Barry, 64, was born September 23, 1957 in Columbus, GA to Durward Duke and Kathryn Turner Duke.

Barry married Shelley Schick in July 1986, and they had two children, Andy and Jacqui.

Barry was a 1976 graduate of Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia. After serving in the Army, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Cameron University and an Associate degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. He served in the United Methodist Church, and lived in many places before coming back to Columbus in 2014.

On September 22, 2022, Barry left this earth for his heavenly home. He leaves behind his children, Andy Duke (Carrie) and Jacqui Bruce (Beau); one granddaughter, Paisley Bruce; his step-dad and best buddy, Lawrence Mohn; five sisters: Sharon Duke Hallowes, Pamella Duke Varnon, Carol Duke, Gini Duke Morgan (Joe), Melanie Duke Means (Danny); one brother, Greg Duke (Faith), along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
