Edward LeRoy Redmond, 79, of Columbus, GA, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2023. The family will welcome guests for a visitation at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Evangel Church at 11:00 am, followed by entombment at Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Paul Thomas, Reverend Bud Rupel, and Reverend Patrick Reeves will officiate.

Mr. Redmond was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, November 8, 1943 to his late parents, Floyd Basil and Leah Jean Redmond but lived in Columbus most of his life. He was a member of Evangel Church, graduated from Baker High School and attended Columbus State University. Ed retired from Standard Concrete Co. after 40 years of service in the Computer Department. He also worked at AMF Peach Bowl, was a Tax preparer, and served in the National Guard for 14 Years. Ed loved bowling and golf, but most of all his friends and family.

Other than his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his sister Kay Daniel and mother in-law, Ann Culpepper

Ed is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Jan; son, Eddie (Jennifer) Redmond; daughter, Sheri (Mike) Emberton ; sister in-law and brother in-law Gail and Jim Redoch and their family; nine grandchildren, Megan, Mallory, Zachary, Breanna, Skyla, Michael, Mason, Brandon, and Cameron; great grandchildren, Lizzie, Sloan, and Paisley; many other family members and friends to cherish his memories.
