Mildred Skillern, 92, of Columbus, Georgia passed Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Columbus. Mildred was born in Ft. Benning, GA, daughter of the late Johnny W. Jones and Cornelia Hunt Jones.  She was a member of First African Baptist Church.  She was a retireed school teacher for Muscogee Conty Schools.  She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her suvivors include: three daughters, Donna (James) Briscoe, Cecily Skillern and Phyllis Sims; one sister, Euradelle Poole; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of relatives.
