Scott Maples, age 61 of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014. He was born October 18, 1953 in Columbus, Georgia to Betty Jean Hammond Maples and the late Floyd Melvin Maples.
 
He took great pride in his 25 years with Service Supply of Carrollton, where he worked as a parts manager and later worked as parts manager for Georgia Deer Farm. He enjoyed golfing and camping in the great outdoors and also loved singing and playing his guitar and woodworking.
 
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Jarrod Maples. Survivors include his loving wife, Donna P. Maples; mother, Betty Maples of Anniston, AL; his children, Valerie and Aaron Collins of Carrollton, Meagan Maples of Carrollton, Donnita and Todd Kincaid of Jacksonville, FL., and Chad Collins of Temple; sister, Melanie Williamson of Mobile, AL; brothers, Terry Maples of Leeds, AL and Jeff Maples of Decatur, AL; and five grandchildren, Joshua Collins, Jayden Greene, Lea Kincaid, Jacob Kincaid, and Cullan Collins.
 
Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Mr. Jerry Cole officiating and Lea Kincaid giving the eulogy. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In keeping with the family’s wishes, the body will be cremated. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
