Peggy Hopper Pilgrem, 75, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM ET at Ladonia Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Hyche officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET at the Church. Interment will follow at Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Pilgrem was born November 30, 1946 in El Paso, Texas to the late, Harley Cleo Hopper and Dorothy Houston. She was an active member of Ladonia Baptist Church, taught Sunday School, and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed traveling on weekend trips with her friends, being active, and gardening with her husband. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Mann and Sue Hopper.

Surviving are her loving husband, David Carson Pilgrem; two sons, David Michael Pilgrem and Jebb Carson Pilgrem; two grandchildren, Carson David Pilgrem and Luke Michael Pilgrem; one brother, Roger K. Hopper; many loving nieces, a nephew, and loved ones.

In the years that I was acquainted with Peggy at BHS, she set the bar for kindness. She had a very positive attitude and a zest for life that was special. She will be missed by those she left behind. I hope that they can find some comfort in the memories that they made together. RIP Ms. Peggy.

Margaret Shevlin (1965)

Peggy and I became friends while at Faith School at Fort Benning and countinued our friendship at Baker.  I remember spending the night at her house numerous times, going to the fair and countless other adventures that high school friends shared.  Even though we only saw each other at reunions, I always looked forward to seeing her.  She will be missed.

So sorry to here Peggy past. She was a great friend. We had many good times at BHS.  She loved to dance and had a great attitude on life. She loved David, her sons and grand children. My condolences to the family. She will be missed
