Columbus, Georgia - Anna Faye Stone King, age 77, passed away on June 15, 2023, in Columbus, Georgia.
Mrs. King was born in Columbus, Georgia on May 5, 1946 to the late Isaac N. and Viola McPherson Stone. She was married to the late Melrose Wayne King. She is survived by a sister Gail Jarvis (John Cate) and two brothers Donald I. Stone (Cherry), Gary Mack Stone (Marcia), and four children, Vanessa Sparks (Glenn), Don Watson, Jr. (Rhonda), Verana Renee Watson and Brent Marcus Watson.
Since an early age, Mrs. King worked in Columbus as a manicurist, starting her life-long career with her dear friend William South (Flo) at William's on Wynnton Salon.
Her expertise and love for the piano lead to her playing and singing for her Mother's Christian neighborhood Mission in South Columbus for over 30 years.
Mrs. King will be laid to rest on June 23, 2023, at the Shottsville Cemetery in Marion County, Alabama at 1:00 p.m. CT graveside. The family will receive friends between 11:00 - 12:00 CT at the Hamilton Hackleburg Funeral Home at 161 Falcon Circle, Hamilton, Alabama 35570 (205) 921-3197. A memorial service will be held at River of Life Church, with Pastor Randy Comer officiating on July 8, 2023, at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Columbus Hospice, River of Life Church, Phenix City, AL, and in homage to her love of nature Columbus Botanical Garden.
