Marlon Capers, 45, of Kathleen, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Medical Center of Georgia in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Sconiers Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Edge, pastor of Restoration Church in Americus, Georgia, will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 12 Noon until 6 PM, according to Sconiers Funeral Home. Mr. Capers was born October 21, 1972 in Columbus, Georgia. He was the son of Linda Capers Hogue and the late Herman Capers. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Mr. Capers was a 1991 graduate of the last class at Baker High School. He attended South Carolina State University and was employed as a General Production manager for Tyson Foods for 26 years.

Cherishing his memories are: a loving wife, Charmayne Capers; a loving and devoted mother, Linda Capers Hogue; one beloved son, T. J. Wooten; two loving brothers, Maurice (Leslie) and Marrell (Alexis) Capers, a loving cousin, Angela Gardner; devoted aunts, Mary A. Rowland, Brenda (Hunter) Biggers, all of Columbus and Diane (Richard) Lucas of Columbia, SC; his paternal grandmother, Annie B. Capers of Columbus, GA; his mother-in-law, Debbie Cruthfield of Idabel, OK; an uncle, Robert gardner of Altadena, CA; one granddaughter, Daae Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friends including his entire Tyson Foods Family.
