Dorothy Mae Daniels, 87, of Columbus, GA, passed away Thursday April 6, 2017 under the watchful care of Serenity Hospice. The family will welcome guests for visitation Monday, April 10, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Graveside Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 11:00 am in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus with Reverend Jamie Baggett officiating.
Dorothy was born in Columbus, GA to her late parents, Harvey and Clyde Daniel on April 23, 1929. She attended Baker School before it was a High School. Dorothy was Pentecostal by faith and an avid reader who loved cooking for family gatherings even though she had not been able to for a while. She was very much loved and will be missed by all.
Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her: beloved husband James Alton Daniels; brother Cecil Daniel; sister Mary Jean Daniel; daughter in-law LaDean Daniels; step granddaughter Cheryl Williams. 
Those left to cherish her memory are: sister Jeanette Phillips of Eufaula, AL; daughter Judith Daniels of Columbus; son George Daniels of Columbus; grandson Paul Holet of Columbus; granddaughter Tina Hattic of Albuquerque, NM; step great granddaughter Britney Hattic of Albuquerque, NM; great granddaughter Amber Holet of San Francisco CA; great grandson, Tucker Holet of Byron MS; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
