Sandra Rose Sumrall Galbraith passed away at her home on Sunday, September 6, 2015 Sandra was born in Wurzburg, Germany, daughter of Anna Elizabeth Dubanski Sumrall and Julius Sumrall, both of whom predeceased her. Sandra attended elementary and junior high schools in South Columbus, Graduating from Baker High School. She worked in Atlanta as a dental technician. She later moved to Pensacola Florida and became a Navy wife, traveling and living in various places around the world. After returning to Columbus, she worked in the hospitality industry managing hotels. She was most recently a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She loved all animals, gardening, and was kind to all living things. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ashley Galbraith Marsh, Ashley's husband Brandon and her granddaughter Ramona of Columbus. She is also survived by her brother Tony Sumrall and his wife Marti of Waverly Hall, Georgia, her beloved pets Bizkit and Noah, and many other friends and family. Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.

Samuel Jeffry Jelks (1970)

so sorry to hear of sandys' passing. I met her and her brother approx. 1973 when i first got out of the army. I used to go over to her house and visit with them and their mother and their 3 little chihuahua's. It had been approx. 30 years since i had last seen them. She will be greatly missed.

I'm sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She was a beautiful girl & very sweet. We were friends in 9th grade at Baker High, and I have very fond memories of our friendship. My condolences to her family.

Sandy you will live in my heart forever!!! I have unlimited memories of our times together!! I couldn't have asked for a better friend! We were so close then at times sharing a home and also working together not to mention just our fun times and the adventures we shared all the way back to elementary school. You had a wonderful family. I will always love you all Sandy, Liz, Tony, Ashley and family. There will never be another person like Sandy. Thank you for being my friend.

Richard Galbraith (1975)

I was not mentioned in obit,But I loved her ever since we started dating and all the years we were married,the birth of Ashley and Ramona.thats why we never got divorced, the few days before you died we slept in same bed, and hugged,like we always did I still miss you and will the rest of my life.
