Janet Lee Barnes April 11, 1952 - August 30, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA — Ms. Janet Lee Barnes of #4 Montclair Court, Columbus, passed Saturday at the Columbus Specialty Hospital. She was 56 years old. Daughter of the late Emett Lloyd Lee Sr. and Fannie Pearl Blanton Lee, Ms. Barnes was born in Ft. Lewis, WA on April 11, 1952. She was a 1970 graduate of Baker High School and received an Associates Degree from Meadows College of Business. She was retired from AT&T as an accountant and was the night auditor for Residence Inn on Adams Farm Pkwy. She was a member of Faith Worship Center International and a former member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Survivors include: her loving children, Tracie Wright (Christopher) of Atlanta, Toya Jervay of Phoenix, AZ, Levi Jackson (Kristle), Aaron Jackson (Brieana) of Honolulu, HA and Jotham Jackson of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; three siblings, Sandra Lee Harris of Columbus, OH, Paulette Lee Triplett and Emett L. Lee, Jr. (Donna), both of Atlanta; one uncle, Burtrom S. Lee (Helen) of Carson, CA; one aunt, Betty Whitney of St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends. Homegoing services for Ms. Barnes will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Worship Center Intl' with Bishop Ann Hardman, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation is Today, 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from 2547 Pinola Avenue, Columbus at 10:15 the day of the service.
