Patricia Ann Gable Hudson

COLUMBUS, GEORGIA- Patricia Ann Gable Hudson, age 64, passed away on May 16, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Olen Smith officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Hudson was born on March 28, 1948 to the late James Gable and Carolyn Jackson Elkins in Winter Haven, FL. She attended Baker High School. Patsy also cherished attending Bush Road Emmanuel Church, whenever her illness would allow. She always enjoyed being outdoors in her garden. Patsy loved to travel and see new places. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 49 years, Gary Hudson of Columbus; three children, Carol Upchurch of Columbus, James Paul Hudson of Las Vegas, NV and Lisa Hudson Haines (Keith) of Columbus; four grandchildren, Alex Hudson, Miranda Geter, Garrett Goodson and Michael Thrower (Megan); two great-grandchildren, Karli Johntry and Jason Thrower; three sisters, Diane Adams, Marcia Knox and Eva Neal Sanders; a brother, Mike Gable; a step-brother, Darrell White and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Hudson's caregivers, Sandy Jones and Eva Sanders, as well as Columbus Hospice for their kind support during this difficult time.
