His obit. in Columbus Ledger back in1971 said he was found hanging in his cell and that he looked "jovial"....He had it rough in short time he spent his time in this life and he chose to leave in his term rather than give life a chance....He was a friend to many Benning Hills gang and he is missed by many still. Maybe he taught us that no matter how bleak future looks, dont give up cuz when its over, its over....Me and Chalmer have looked for his gravesite under that big oak tree for years, but could not find it cuz he had no gravemarker...And then this year on my visit to Columbus, we took another look and found headstone at his gravesite....We took a picture and got him listed in Bakerlionspride and give him internet immortallity after all these years like everyone else.....We love you, Charley and never forgot you and thanks for the memories and hope God had mercy....Tak.
