Frankie commited suicide in our Senior Year, 1973. He was dealing with a lot of serious personal issues. My mistake for not believing him when he told me. He was a very dear friend.
I was told that Frankie was shot by his father while he was defending his mother in a domestic dispute. His father was beating up his mother and he stepped in to defend her. His father went outside and got a shotgun and killed Frankie. I was told he died in May 1974 and a friend sent me his obituary from the Columbus Ledger Enquirer.
Please tell me how he died. We dated briefly in the summer of 1972. Was I informed incorrectly?
I knew Frankie from work at Dennys on Victory Dr. I was in Army Basic at Ft. Jackson when I heard it from someone who found about his death and the circumstances were suspicious. That was May-July 1974
According to county maintained records, Frankie is interned in Riverdale cemetery and his date of passing is 1974: Whitis, Frankie W., b. 04/28/1955, d. 05/22/1974, Lot 61, Sec 12
