In Memory

Debbie Burroughs - Class Of 1973 VIEW PROFILE

Debbie Burroughs

Debbie Burroughs was killed in an auto accident at Spurrel Bluff in Thomaston, GA on March 3, 1973. 73 Lion Ralph Mitchell wrote this about Debbie: I remember her from our Freshman and Sophmore years at Baker. I sat next to her in Freshman English and Miss Jane Elgas was our Teacher. The next year we both ended up in Miss J.J. Radecki's Biology class. Debbie was always friendly and pleasant. I can never recall ever seeing her without a smile (except when test papers came back). I used to see her on campus in our Junior and Senior years, but we were not in any of the same classes at the same time.

Debbie was a good friend and very smart. The world is less bright without her in it. Rest in peace.....

I remember the school having a memorial during each lunch period in honor of Debbie in 1973. She had made lots of friends and yet left this life at such a young age. Another star was added to those that had already gone before, not with us face to face but always in memories. Goad bless here remaining family members!
