Barry Bolden - Class Of 1973 VIEW PROFILE

Barry Bolden

73 Lion Gary Jones: #31 in your program, #1 in your hearts. Only guy I knew who got to date an upper-class girl. As Mitch Wagster once observed, "he's so suave." Barry was a member of the NHS and the only player who could match wits with Coach Gresham, whose sour face and cruel sarcasm should have landed him on the cover of "Creepy." When Barry wasn't with a girl, he and I and Greg Johnston were nearly inseparable, honing our humor and horsing around on Ft. Benning, culminating in our "Deliverance" December 72 canoe trip down Upatoi Creek, during which we chopped up the front porch of General George Patton's abandoned hunting cabin for firewood, to warm Greg, who had rolled his canoe, a/k/a "the tobacco barge" in frigid waters. Hasta luego mi amigo.

Barry was a real close friend and the first boy I ever kissed. We had many great times cruisin' in my yellow bug.
Our families were very close. We went to church together. My dad worked with his dad. My mom was real close to his and I would consider our families as "best of friends"
I knew him since I was 8 years old. Many many fond memories.
I will always love him....a true friend.
I will keep secret what Mitch, Barry and I did, some things are best unsaid. We'd propbly get arrested.
Sure to this day. All angels we'd say
Barry surely is one, I know.
