Ronald "Ron" Davis

November 24, 1953 - January 25, 2014

Phenix City, Alabama- Ronald "Ron" Davis, 60, of Phenix City, AL died Saturday, January 25, 2014 in St. Francis Hospital.
Memorial services will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in Striffler - Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City Chapel with Rev. Udell Addison officiating. Burial will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at the funeral home.
Ron is the son of the late Leslie Davis and Sally S. Enloe. Ron was fortunate to have two earthly fathers and was raised by a wonderful step-father the late Aubrey Enloe. Ron was born in Columbus, GA to Sally and Leslie Davis. He attended neighborhood schools and graduated from Baker High School (Baker Bums). He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for five years. He further served his country by working for and retiring from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. He then worked part-time for Care Ambulance Service.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather he loved his family, the great outdoors and college football, his team Auburn University.
Survivors include his loving wife, Robin of Lee County, two sons, David Davis of Phenix City, and Travis Davis (Molly) of Columbus; a daughter, Tessa Davis of Lee County, AL; two step-daughters, Tabatha Paulson of Smiths and Jessica Dorton of Opelika; one brother, Donald Davis (Lynn); one sister, Dianne Davis (Rick); eight grandchildren.

I worked with Ronald for a number of years at the PO. Also remember him from school. He always had a smile and pleasant attitude. Really seemed to love his family. Ron, you left us too soon. Hope to see you in glory one day! May God comfort the Davis family and all those loved ones close to Ron.
