Billy Joe Southard, 59 years old, died on August 27, 2012 at his home in Kissimmee, Fl. 

Billy was a Navy Seabee Diver (UCT-1) and retired after 21 years of service. Billy was employed by Hensel Phelps as a Quality Control Manager.  He was a member of the Guam Hawgs Motorcycle Club and the Lions Club.  Billy was a member of the Abdallah Shriners of Kansas City and a member of the Hancock Masonic Lodge of Free Masons.  He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America and was a PADI scuba instructor.  Billy received his Masters Degree from Troy State University and was a die-hard Florida State Seminole fan.  Billy is preceded in death by his father, John Preston Southard, his brothers, James Tidwell, William Southard, and Martin Southard.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Kitchens Southard and his two children, Preston Southard and Christina Wells and his grandchildren, Jaxson Wells and Brayden Wells.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Sasser and his sister Deborah Ann Southard. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home Poinciana Chapel 3175 Pleasant Hill Road Kissimmee, Florida  34746, 407-931-4811 Services under the directin of Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematory www.OsceolaMemGds.com
