Bobbie Doris Forrest March 28, 1931 - January 25, 2010 OCALA, FL— Bobbie Doris Forrest, 78, of Ocala, FL passed peacefully at The Tuscany House, a Hospice facility in Summerfield, FL, on Monday, January 25, 2010. She was born March 28, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to her late parents Ethel Weldon and Albert Hightower. She and her husband, William B Forrest, moved from Columbus, Georgia to Ocala, Florida in 1968. She was a 1947 graduate of Baker High School and worked for Sears Roebuck as an accounting clerk for 12 years. She and her husband operated Forrest Greyhound Kennels in Candler, FL for 20 years and were very active in local Lions Clubs and worked for the Southeastern Guide Dog Association for several years. Her hobbies were crocheting, reading, gardening, and fishing. Surviving are her three children: Sandra Chapman and her husband Dana of Fort Fairfield, ME and Ocala, FL, Darrell Forrest and his wife Claudia of Cleveland, GA, Becky Liles and her husband, Gene, of Ocala, FL; sister, Dot Perkins and her husband Bobby, Sr, of Eufaula, AL; brother, Tony Anthony and his wife, Ruth, of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren: Jay and Morgan Forrest, Rory, Jared, and Lindy Liles, Joel Brahim; and seven great grandchildren. After her beloved husband of 55 years passed away in 2003, she resided in the Evangeline Booth Garden Apartments and leaves many special friends there. There will be no service, at her request. Roberts Funeral Home and Chapel in Ocala, FL handled arrangements. In memory of her life, please make memorial donations in her name to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
