Moses L. Brinson, Jr. January 7, 1957 - March 1, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Moses Lee Brinson, Jr. of 2730 Broadmoor Drive, Columbus, passed Monday at his home. He was 53 years old. Born in Wacissa, Florida on January 7, 1957, Mr. Brinson was the son of Moses L. Brinson, Sr. of Columbus and the late Jeanette Miller Brinson. He was a 1975 graduate of Baker High School and received an Associate degree from Philips College of Business. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the Army National Guards. He was also retired from Azalea Trace Nursing Home after 26 years of dedicated service as a Nurses Aid. He attended Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church and was a member of the Sons of Solomon, Lodge #358 of Free and Accepted Mason. Survivors, other than his father, include: a daughter, Lashonda Grant (Reginald); a son, Travis Brinson; a brother, Terry J. Brinson; five sisters, Delores Mitchell, Debra Tolbert (Donald), Janice Brinson, Rose Mary Green (Albert) and Shannon D. Harp (Carlton); five grandchildren, a devoted friend and the mother of his children, Frankie Brinson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing services for Mr. Brinson will be Friday, 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. The interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from his residence at 11:30 the day of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Brinson, but after reading his obituary, I can see that it is my loss. I salute him for his military and civilian careers and for the love of his family.

I recently hear about Moses passing at the LOTL thru his cousin. My prayers are with you all during this time of loss in your lives. I pray that God will fill you all with the Peace that comes only from HIM and may God comfort you all in your time of sorrow. He will be missed my many but not forgotten.  Que Dios los bendiga a todos.
