Joanne Newman Farris, 62, of Pinson, AL passed away on September 25, 2016. Mrs. Farris retired as a Real Estate Manager and she was a member of Clearbranch United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, skiing, and was an avid Georgia football fan. She also enjoyed shopping and couponing.
She is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Lotta Newman; and husband, Michael Farris.
Survivors include step-daughters, Rachel S. Kelly (Paul) of Oneonta and Scarlet Krachinski (Donald) of Tigard, OR; step-son, Cory Farris (Joey) of Madison; brother, Larry Newman (Denise) of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Grace Kelly, Elijah Kelly, Micah Kelly, Noah Kelly, Jonah Kelly, Adam Kelly, Mercy Kelly, Isaac Farris, Charisma Farris and Lorelei Farris; nephews, Curtis, Austin and Bo Newman.
Vaughn Stafford will officiate funeral services on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11AM from Remlap United Methodist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Farris will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10AM until service time.
