Faye Flippo (Barry) - Class Of 1957

Faye was one of those rare people that never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She was quick to laugh, full of love and faithful Christian. She will be missed. -- Wanda George, BHS 58 

 

Martha Faye Barry
June 13, 1938 - February 20, 2018


Phenix City, Alabama- Martha Faye Barry, 79, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday morning at her home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM EST with Rev. Steve Reneau and Rev. Lucas Tribble officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time.
Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Faye was born June 13, 1938 in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Thomas Henry and Roxie Lea Flippo. She was a Baker High School graduate, member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Trinitarian Sunday School Class, formerly employed with Burnham Van Service in the personnell department, Montgomery Wards in Miami, Florida, and a full time nanny before retiring.

The things she loved most were God, reunions, dancing, cooking, playing cards with her sisters, and her pet dog, Nic.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by, a brother, J. Ronnie Flippo, husbands, Bobby N. McCullar and James Barry.  Surviving are her 3 children, Bob Neal McCullar and wife Yong, Darlene McCullar Chessher and husband Steve, James Michael McCullar and friend, Kris, 4 grandchildren, Mei Mei, Ashley, Kalee, and Greg, 2 sisters, Dorothy Ann Henderson, and JoEllen Marley and husband, Bob, a brother, Tom Flippo and wife Linda, many nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1600 5th Avenue Phenix City, AL 36867
