Mr. Jerry C. Gandy (U.S. Army retired) of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010. Mr. Gandy also was retired from civil service at Fort McPherson. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and sportsman. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Charles Gandy, Jr. and is survived by his wife, Gail Barfield Gandy of Fayetteville; daughters, Charae Hayes of Indianapolis, IN; Rhonda Gandy Loy and her husband David of Columbia, SC; Debi Knight and her husband Ted of Panama City, FL; Leesa Watson of Columbia, SC; sister, Margaret Cline of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Chaplain Emanuel Williams and Rev. Lloyd Dunigan officiating. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make a donation to International Multiple Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, North Hollywood, CA 91607.
