Mrs. Kathryn Renee Lewis McBride, Columbus, GA., passed Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Piedmont /Midtown Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at St. John A.M.E. Church 3980 Steam Mill Road Columbus, GA. with Apostle Marshall McGill officiating according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC 2919 Hamilton Road Columbus, GA. Mrs. McBride was born July 12, 1954 in Columbus, GA the daughter of the late Willie James and Louise Hardaway Lewis Sr. She was a 1972 graduate of Baker High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's degree from Mercer University and her Master's degree from Columbus State University. Mrs. McBride was a retired educator with the Chattahoochee County School District. Renee was a woman of faith and lived life serving others. She joined Refresh Ministries where she continued to serve the Lord through various ministry organizations and leadership roles. Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband Mr. Leroy McBride. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children Amber Joyner, Jennifer (Kevin) Henderson and Candace McBride; her loving siblings Rev. Veronica Lewis, Carol Spencer and Willie Lewis Jr; five grandchildren, Camron Joyner, Amaya Robinson, Imani Henderson, Eden Henderson and Haven Henderson; an aunt Christine Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church members and friends.
