louis was a good friend.  I hated to see his health go down  like it did.  When we were at Baker Louis was a heck of a man.  In a fight you wanted Louis on your side.  Louis was a real American Hero.  The man did three tours in Viet Nam and won many ribbons.  The first Thursday in every month will never be the same.  You will be missed my friend

Louis,

You were truly one of the oldest and dearest friends I have ever had in my life. I am so glad that we were still friends and staying in touch up until the Lord took you. Whenever I hear the music from the sixties I think of you, sock hops, football games, and how close our little group of friends were. My heart goes out to Mary Lou and the kids but we all know that the suffering you went through the past few years is now over. Hope you've had a chance to visit with my parents too since you've been in Heaven.

You will never be forgotten,

Diane

I did not know Louis from BHS...but I first met him when we both worked at the US Army Infantry Board at Fort Benning during the 1980s.  We became quick friends and remained friends.  My family got to know his family well.  They all are some of the most down-to-earth, and honest, people you will ever meet.  I will miss all the jokes/emails that Louis sent on a weekly basis.  I will miss having coffee with him when I visit Columbus; but, most of all, I regret having to cancel that last cup of coffee with him on my last visit.  I did not know that his health had been bad; he never said anything about that.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  Until we all meet again in a better place...you made the world a brighter place, Louis!
