James William Jimmy Lee

Coach James William “Jimmy" Lee, 84, of Columbus, Ga. died Sunday, April 19, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. 
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to your favorite charity in memory of Coach Lee. 
Coach Lee was born June 13, 1935 in Macon, Georgia son of the late John William and Ruth Davis Lee. He was a 1955 graduate of Baker High School and a 1960 graduate of Auburn University. Coach Lee retired after 32 years as a coach and teacher at Hardaway and Shaw High Schools in Columbus, Ga. 
Survivors include his wife Beverly Massey Harrison Lee of Columbus, Ga., children, Jan Rowland (Timothy) of Nicholasville, KY., Kimberley Young (Walter) of Roanoke, VA., Lisa Callahan (Daniel) of Georgetown, TX., William Bradley Harrison (Wendy) of Columbus, Ga., Timothy Lee of Columbus, Ga., sisters, Margie Lee Massey (Jerry) of Powder Springs, Ga., Johnnie Ann Bates (John) of O’Fallon, MO., 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 
“Coach Lee prided himself on what he could do for others.” He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and former students.

I MET JIMMY A FEW YEARS BACK AND HE WAS AN VERY IMPRESSIVE  MAN.  YOU CAN TELL A LOT ABOUT A MAN BY HIS FAMILY AND THE FAMILY MEMBERS I KNOW ARE VERY  GOOD PEOPLE.  HE WILL BE MISSED.
