John McDonald "Don" Heath - Class Of 1955 VIEW PROFILE

John McDonald "Don" Heath October 20, 1936 - December 14, 2010 PINE MOUNTAIN VALLEY, GA— John McDonald "Don" Heath, 74, of Pine Mountain Valley, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2010 surrounded by his loving wife and children. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton with Pastor Rick Lipp officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Heath was born October 20, 1936 in Gadsden, AL to Walter E. Heath, Sr. and Mary Jewel Pate Heath. He had made his home in Pine Mountain Valley, GA for the past 22 years, loving the peace and the country living. Mr. Heath attended Baker High School where he was in the ROTC and played football, graduating in 1955. That same year he married his high school sweetheart, Lucina Ledford. Mr. Heath loved hunting and fishing. Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #10 was his employer for 45 years where he worked on high-rise buildings and nuclear power plants. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter E. Heath, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lucina Ledford Heath of Pine Mountain Valley; his daughter, Robin D. Heath of Maidens, VA; his son,  Chris Heath of Warsaw, VA; grandchildren, Daniel Heath Case of Powhatan, VA, Lucina Donyelle Moretz of Raeford, NC, Brian Christopher Heath of Newport News, VA, Reda Opal Weaver of Warsaw, VA and six great grandchildren.
