Remembering all those afternoons where Coach Roberts instilled character in all of us. Ben was not just bigger than most of us, he was a pillar of solidarity for the track and field team...Hearts go out to Ben's family as we feel your loss.
Rest in peace. A lot of fun times on the old cinder track being watched by Coach Roberts. We all learned a great deal from him. Looking back ,it was more fun that we realised.
Ben and I were voted Most Individual our senior year and the photo shoot for the yearbook is one of my most cherished memories of Baker. He was a kindred spirit. Sad you're gone, brother. S.

I am so sad to learn that Ben has passed away. I remember him as a very sweet guy. Modest, unassuming. Condolences to those he leaves behind.

I knew Ben only as a nodding aquaintence, but he was one of the few who went his own way. The crowd followed him. My sympathies to his family.
