DON OLDHAM NICKERSON - November 5, 1937 - August 14, 2006 EUFAULA, AL, age 68
Don was born in Birmingham, AL, the son of the late Leo Byron and Beatrice Oldham Nickerson. He was a graduate of Baker High School in 1957 and attended Auburn University. He sold real estate for a number of years in Columbus, Ga, and he was a member of the Home Builders Association in Columbus. After moving to Eufaula, he inspired the founding of Sam's BBQ House in Georgetown, Ga. He was preceded in death by a son, James D. "Jim" Nickerson and two brothers, Ned and Dan Nickerson. He is survived by one son, Calvin "Sam" Nickerson, Ft. Mitchell, Al; two daughters, Kim (Steve) Leone, Lake Worth, FL., Pam (David) Watson, Ft. Mitchell, AL; three grandchildren, Brittany Watson, Jake Leone, Brennah Leone; dear friend, Peggy Horton; extended family, Cindy, Pam, Renea and Brad, the children of the late Charlene Moser.
Don was an easy going guy that was liked by everyone. His sense of humor and out going personality won him many friends over the years. He will surely be missed by all that knew him.
