Bill Greer was like a brother to me as I was 12 when he married my sister Anne Miller. He was the only person I trusted to prepare my fire batons on the sidelines of Victory Stadium for our all important Baker halftime shows, usually our prime Columbus High games in which we twirled fire. Always quiet but observing every little detail. Never said too much but heard every word of others. He was a jewel of a husband, father, son, uncle, friend, colleague and my adopted true brother. I miss him greatly. But he is where he wants to be...with my sister in paradise for eternity with his parents and his loving companion dog, Dixie, who loved him dearly as did we all.
