The gates of heaven opened wide and welcomed our beautiful Mother home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sara Marable, born in Ft. Benning, GA on September 27, 1939, and lived most of her life in Columbus, GA. She moved to Allen, TX in 1997 and later became a resident of Frisco, TX. She died May 3, 2018 at Prairie Estates in Frisco, TX.

The daughter of the late Sarah Lee Agnes Hilliard Allen and Hugh Asa Allen. She attended Baker High School in Columbus, GA where she was a majorette. After high school she worked at Kirven's Department Store, and went on to work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia for 38 years.

She was a long standing member of Grace Baptist Church in Columbus, GA, and Ft. Perry Baptist Church in Geneva, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Carol Aleen Allen, Barbara Allen Van Natter, Vivian Allen Adams, Luellen Allen Tomblin and Marianne Allen Pierce; her brothers Hugh Hilliard Allen, Herbert Edsel Allen, and James "Jimmy" Elton Allen. She is survived by her sons Terry Wayne Pemberton of Alexander City, AL, Jimmy Edward Joiner Jr. (Eva) of San Antonio, TX, and daughter Cindy Leigh Tucker of Plano, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Kaye Allen Kyle; and her brother, Paul Allen (Kathy) of Columbus, GA, along with four grandchildren, Amanda Brooke Reichle (Kevin) of Austin, Texas, Jason Hugh Joiner (Kathryn) of Manchaca, Texas, Seth Wayne Pemberton and Karson Leigh Pemberton of Rockford, AL; four great grandchildren, Addison Leigh Reichle, Stella Grace Reichle, Jude Alan Reichle of Austin, TX, and Charlotte Everly Joiner of Manchaca, TX.

Our entire family would like to personally thank all of the caregivers and friends at Prairie Estates that assisted in the loving care given to our Mother. You are all special to us.

Funeral Services were Wednesday, May 9th, 11:00 am. A private graveside internment located at Long Creek Cemetery was held under the direction of New Hope Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located in Sunnyvale, TX. www.newhopefh.com Reverend Mitchell Forester officiating.
