Columbus, GA- Carol Ann Weaver Allen of Columbus, GA passed on October 29, 2011. She was born on February 2, 1951 in Macon, MS. Carol attended Baker High School and the University of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Jackie and Jeff Thomas of Macedonia, MS, her father Jesse Weaver of Kemper County, and her uncle Earl Thomas of Macedonia. Carol is survived by her cherished mother and adored brother, Maxine Weaver and Tommy Weaver of Columbus, GA, her beloved son and granddaughter, Jeffrey Jones (Alicia) and Emma Jane Jones of Atlanta, her 'sister' Harriet Green of Powder Springs, GA, her aunts and uncle Nellie Thomas, Eula Mae Bauer, and Jack Thomas of Macedonia, and her husband Brian Allen of Columbus, GA, who will miss her more than words can express. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday November 4, 2011 at the Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS. followed by burial at the Macedonia Methodist Church in Shuqualak, MS.
