I enjoyed Art during our tenure at BHS. He was really nice, sweet, and friendly. I had heard he'd passed while in Europe, but I could never speak with anyone who was able to validate this comment.
Art was a good buddy of mine--always thought of him as a little brother. Even though he was almost 6'9" and towered over me. One of my best friends. We were in school at UGA when he died. He was on vacation at the Octoberfest in Germany when it happened. Partying to the end. That was Art. He had quite a funeral in Athens-it was an event. He was well liked by many. That where he's buried if you want to visit him. Art and I shared a lot of good memories together--I think of him often and miss him. Rick Popple

We had a lot of fun with Art. Playing basketball and riding in the red mustang with the music blasting. He was a good guy and we all miss him.David Mills
