David Raymond Simmons, 49, of Conover went into the loving arms of Jesus on July 13, 2018. He was born on September 9, 1968 to Sammie and Donna Mays Simmons in Jacksonville, Florida.

David was a devoted husband, loving father and a considerate son and brother. His co-workers at Engineered Sintered Components describe him as a loyal and kind person. He was a faithful servant of Christ and a beloved Sunday School Teacher at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont.

Left to cherish his memories are his parents, loving wife of 15 years, Tina, a son, Daniel and daughter Sarah; brothers, Joe (Leah) Simmons and John Simmons.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 4 o’clock PM at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Mike Ramey officiating. The internment will immediately follow the services at Claremont City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Church in his name, 5759 Bolick Road, Claremont, NC 28610
