Peter James Jayko January 18, 1953 - March 5, 2009

COLUMBUS, GA — Peter James Jayko, 56, of Columbus died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus with Reverend Danny Courtney officiating. The family will greet friends after the service. Mr. Jayko was born January 18, 1953 in Schweinfurt, Germany to Ingeburg Marie Lederman and the late Casimer Jayko. He was a friend to many and was a hardworking person. He was also known for living his own way and his love for his dogs. Survivors include his loving mother, Inge Jayko of Columbus; a sister, Christine Jayko Link and her husband, Randy of Dallas, GA; a brother, Robert Jayko of Columbus; a niece and nephew, Casi and Jacob Link of Dallas, GA; an aunt, Brigitte Hern of New Mexico.
